Writing
Having something to say, and saying it well
The rules that make writing make sense
Sentence structure, tenses and punctuation taught through use rather than definitions — children fix real sentences instead of reciting rules.
Naming a clause does not help a child write one. Every rule is introduced through sentences that are wrong, and children repair them. Terminology follows once the pattern is understood — which is also the order school examinations reward.
We assess every child before we place them, so they start in the right place.
Every child progresses at their own pace. We track it and tell you honestly how it is going.
Tell us your child’s age and what you have noticed. We will take it from there.
